Republica Moldova a fost aleasă în calitate de membru al Comitetului Permanent al Biroului Regional al Organizației Mondiale a Sănătății

Republica Moldova a fost aleasă astăzi, în calitate de membru al Comitetului Permanent al Biroului Regional al Organizației Mondiale a Sănătății, în cadrul celei de-a 68-a Sesiune a forumului, care se desfășoară la Roma, Italia, în perioada 17-20 septembrie 2018.

 

Țara noastră va deţine mandatul de membru al Comitetului Permanent BRE OMS pe un termen de trei ani, începând cu data alegerii.

 

Numirea Republicii Moldova la acest post este o recunoaștere a progreselor realizate de țara noastră în implementarea politicilor de sănătate recomandate de OMS, în scopul accesului universal la servicii de sănătate a populației.

 

Comitetul Permanent al BRE OMS este constituit din 12 reprezentanţi ai celor 53 de țări membre ai Biroului European al OMS, care aprobă programele și politicile la nivel regional, ce urmează să fie implementate de statele membre.

 

Menționăm că Republica Moldova a devenit membru al Organizaţiei Mondiale a Sănătăţii în anul 1992, cooperarea în cadrul OMS fiind realizată în baza Acordurilor Bienale de cooperare.
